Finding and getting good deals on under 25 insurance is something that can be easily done if you know the right things to do to achieve it. Some of the most popular ways to obtain special deals and discounts include getting at least a “B” average in school, equipping your ride with the latest in safety features, and driving less to get low mileage discounts. Today, this article will show you how to save even more dough by thinking like a car burglar to protect your vehicle from harm.
1. Be Sure To Park in Well-lit Spots
Number one on the list of ways you can think like a vehicle burglar to keep more money on your under 25 auto insurance policy is to park your car in a safe, well-lit place. With the mind of a crook you’d know that poorly-lit places are the best places to find vehicles to break into. If would be tough for anyone to see you moving around in the dark and you would have a field-day stealing things from cars. So, park where you and your ride will be clearly visible during the day and night because that will reduce the chances of a break-in, which reduces the chances of filing an insurance claim, which will ultimately save you some bucks on auto protection.
2. Be Sure You Keep Your Doors Locked and Secure
Number two on the list of ways you can save money on cheap under 25 insurance by having the mind of a car crook is to always keep your car doors locked when your leave it unattended. There’s nothing more annoying than hearing about a person that has something stolen from their vehicle, or even their whole automobile taken from them because they didn’t lock and secure their doors. Locking your car doors every time will show insurers that you are proactive about protecting your ride and they may offer you discounts on your policy in the future.
3. Keep Your Windows UP
Third on the list of ways that thinking like a car thief will get you better deals and discounts on insurance for car owners under 25 is to be consistent about keeping your automobile windows raised and locked. All a thief needs is a sliver of an opening and they would have full access to all that sits inside your ride. Being proactive about your car’s safety won’t go unnoticed and will be rewarded by an insurer if you are able to stay claim-free for some time.
4. Alarms Are For Setting
One of the best ways to show a potential insurer that you are really serious about keeping your automobile out of the hands of a thief is to have an alarm installed on it. This could help you get discounts on car insurance for drivers under 25. Car thieves usually target vehicles without alarms so having one on your ride will probably make them skip your vehicle altogether.
5. Reasons…Eliminate Them All
Number 5 on the list of ways that thinking like a vehicle burglar will help you keep some coin on under 25 insurance is the reduce all of the reasons to steal your car down to zero. When shopping, make certain that you keep your valuable items safely in the truck so no one will feel enticed to try to break into your ride. Furthermore, try to have your VIN etched into important components of your car like your windows and other important parts so that thieves won’t see your ride as an opportunity to sell those parts.
These are just some of the ways you can think like a thief to save money and find cheap insurance for motorists under 25.

Everybody hates bills, so why should car insurance premiums be any different. And just like other bills, such as cable, grocery shopping, and electricity, there are ways to save on the cost of car insurance. Listed below are 15 realistic approaches to help everyone reduce their premiums.
Multiple Line Discount – one can take advantage of deep discounts by insuring all cars, boats, homes, and apartments with one insurance company.
Limit Your Driving – If you work from home or were recently laid off, tell your agent. Many companies will reduce your premium if you drive less than 100 miles per week (varies by insurance agency).
Safe Driving Discount – You might eligible for a discount if you have been free of accidents and tickets for several years.
Increase your deductible – A deductible increased from $250 to $500 can save a family hundreds of dollars a year. However, if you increase your deductible, make sure you have the extra $250 if you have to file a claim.
Comparison shop – Let your agent know that you are looking at other agencies to reduce your monthly premium; it is likely the agent will pull some strings to keep you as a customer. Caution: if you find a better deal, confirm that it is not an introductory price. Many times your premium will increase to what you were paying with your previous insurance agent.
Update agent if you are a parent under the age of 25 – You might receive the same rate reduction given at the age of 25. However, you will not receive another deduction once you turn 25.
Full coverage or liability – You only need full coverage if the value of your car, according to Kelley Blue Book, is worth more than repair cost. If that is not the case, change your coverage to liability.
Get insurance quotes before you buy a vehicle and choose vehicle color – the type, model and color will affect you premium. If you don’t want your premium to increase stay away from red sports cars. Also popular foreign models such as Toyota and Honda might have high premiums because they are stolen regularly.
Don’t buy short-term policies – There might be a penalty so buy long-term.
Avoid lapses in your insurance – If you let your policy lapse, you are likely to be seen as irresponsible or high-risk. As a result, your policy will be more expensive than it was before to renew.
Only insure cars that you drive – The old Ford that has not been driven in years should not be insured. However, depending on the state you live in, all registered vehicles must be insured. To avoid any problems make sure you register any non-working vehicles as ‘inoperable’.
Refresh your driving skills – confirm that the money you save when your premium is lowered outweighs the cost of the training courses.
Don’t hit anything or get a ticket – Your fault or not, this can increase your policy rate for several years. Keep your eyes on the road. Avoid tickets. Speeding tickets and other moving violations can push your rates up substantially and these, like accidents, usually affect your insurance for 3-5 years.
Insure teenager under different car – The cost to insure a teenage driver is insane. If you have the money, purchase a used car for your teenager and only purchase liability; the amount you save will shock you and your teenager will be happy with his/her own car.
Have good credit score- I don’t agree with this step for determining policy price, but some insurance companies are now using credit scores to calculate the cost of your premium. High credit scores have lower premiums and low credit scores have high premiums. Keep your score high.
Pay semi-annually – This is my favorite way to save money on car insurance. Instead of paying your car insurance monthly, pay semi-annually. The 1st payment is the hardest because you will have to pay the full amount to cover the first six months; think ahead and start saving for this switch. Once you have paid your 1st six month premium, automatically transfer the monthly premium payment into a high yield savings account to earn interest until semi-annual payment is due. By doing this not only are you saving money by avoiding the monthly surcharge fee you are also making money off of interest.
Out of the 15 options listed above, I hope at least one of them will help you save money on your car insurance.
